What is front loading?

Front loading refers to a type of washing machine that has its opening or door at the front of the machine. It is also known as a horizontal-axis washing machine. The clothes in the machine are loaded from the front, and there is a rotating drum inside that performs the washing process.

Front loading machines are generally more energy-efficient and use less water than top-loading machines because they do not need to fill up the entire tub for each wash. They also spin at a higher speed, which means clothes come out of the machine with less water and can be dried quicker.

However, front loading washing machines may come at a higher upfront cost compared to top-loading machines. They may also require more maintenance, such as cleaning the rubber gasket around the door regularly, to prevent mold and mildew buildup.
